Zaragoza Plenary Meeting

Zaragoza Hosts 3rd ELABORATOR Plenary Meeting to Drive Sustainable Urban Mobility Forward

From 3 to 6 June 2025, Zaragoza welcomed ELABORATOR partners for the project’s 3rd Plenary Meeting at Etopia – Center for Art and Technology. The event brought together consortium members, observer cities, and mobility experts to review progress, align on goals, and strengthen collaboration across work packages.

Day 1: Innovation and Local Interventions

The meeting opened with a general assembly covering innovation management and administrative updates. A highlight was the ELABORATOR Data Marketplace demonstration, followed by workshops on visualisation tools and KPI analysis. The day concluded with a city tour and social dinner, after presentations on dissemination strategies and Zaragoza’s intervention sites.

Day 2: Site Visits and Peer Learning

Partners visited local mobility sites, including school areas and the surroundings of La Romareda stadium. These visits illustrated real-world mobility challenges and informed later discussions at the City Twinning session, organised by LIU, VTT, and EIRA. Lighthouse and Follower Cities shared posters highlighting challenges, interventions, and lessons learned. The day ended with an evaluation workshop led by iRAP.

Day 3: Co-Creation with Observer Cities

Dedicated to Observer Cities, the third day focused on inclusive planning through sessions on Co-Creation, Inclusion, and the Active Citizen Toolkit. Cities including Copenhagen, Helsinki, Zaragoza, Lund, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Milan, and Trikala shared experiences, while tools like the Labkit and Platamo App were explored hands-on.

Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Pisa, and Rethymno joined in person, with Lviv participating online—bringing diverse perspectives and reaffirming the project’s commitment to shared learning and co-creation.

Looking Ahead

The Zaragoza meeting marked a key milestone for ELABORATOR, reinforcing strategic coordination, local impact, and the importance of inclusive, sustainable urban mobility. As the project moves into its next phase, the momentum gained will continue to fuel innovation, city-led action, and cross-European collaboration.
